  • Ingredients

    The Overshirt in 2 Tone is dyed using Fustic - the ground wood of a Chlorophora Tinctoria tree. The Overshirt is dyed in a 3 stage processes. First it is steeped in a Gullnut bath overnight, then dyed apricot with fustic. Once the base colour has set and dried the shirt will then receive a “post mordant” where it is dip dyed by hand, shifting the colour from apricot to grey. Because of the bespoke nature of this dye, each garment will differ slightly in pattern and shade.

  • Materials

    The Overshirt is made from cotton jersey. This material is 100% organic with a soft feel. It has a slight amount of stretch for added comfort and a thick cut for warmth.

We believe that the ingredients we need to dye textiles are all around us, trees, seeds and food waste can make amazing colours. We can avoid the need for chemical dyes that cause massive harm to the environment and waste tremendous amounts of water and energy.

Whilst we realise that no new clothing is completely sustainable, we strive to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible. Our garments are dyed with kitchen waste like onion skins or from foraged leaves and barks.
